Mid Pacific Institute hosted the Hawaii FLL "NanoQuest" kick-off event October 5 in the Weinberg Technology Plaza. This gathering was intended to introduce teams to the new NanoQuest theme and to provide support for coaches and teams just getting started. The evening began with an introduction to recent developments in nano technology as presented by Oceanit, a Hawaii-based engineering firm specializing in hi-tech research and product development.

Next, a coach & team orientation session was centered around NanoQuest field setup tables to discuss the all the details and nuances in the NanoQuest mission. Veteran coaches were available to share their experience and answer student questions about rules, hardware, software, and tournament preparation.
