Aloha, Mrs. Jacobson!

In honor of our go-to gal, Mrs. Jacobson, this week's blog will be short and sweet since Mrs. Jacobson is the one who edits all our writing. At the tearjerker assembly this morning, the students shared their fond memories of Mrs. Jacobson as well as their wishes for her as she begins the next chapter of her life in Chicago. When we first discussed Mrs. Jacobson's move in class last week, the children immediately asked:
* Who will prepare and pass out the Thursday packets?
* Who will deliver our book orders?
* But what is Mrs. Schultz going to do without Mrs. Jacobson?
* What will happen when the nurse isn't there?
* Why does she have to leave?
* When will she be back?
* Who's going to answer the phones?
* What do we do when Ms. Field tells us to go to the office and "ask Mrs. Jacobson?"
We will all miss you, Mrs. Jacobson!
Halloween Craft MakingThank you to Mrs. Otsuka, Mr. Chow, Mrs. McConnell, Mrs. Juliano, Mrs. Marutani, and Mrs. McConnell for helping our class make Halloween decorations for the dining room. The children were busy creating "stained glass" pumpkins and black tissue paper cats to add a festive touch to the dining room for Spooktivity.

Field Trip on Tuesday, October 14
Our class will be visiting the Lucoral Museum in Waikiki on Tuesday, October 14. During our visit, we will learn more about corals, pearls, gemstones, and fossils from around the world. Please have your child wear covered shoes and their MPI polo shirt.
