Christmas Sale
The Christmas Sale was an excellent learning experience for your children! Group planning, consensus, and cooperation were the most important aspects of our Economics unit, but the children also learned to create marketing surveys, tally and add survey results, graph their findings, manufacture products, understand money and make change, add their net intake, and subtract the start-up costs to compute their profit.
Our products were very popular! Both the Rainbow Mochi and Ice Dice Ice Cream sold out. The profit was a whopping $100, which they will donate to the "M---- B---- School #266" in Cambodia, built in honor of MB her grandparents. The Cambodian children have just recently planted a garden which provides a midday meal for the students. Our donation will buy seeds and tools. We hope to have some correspondence with them, too. The students and I want to thank all the parents who donated their time and energy to making our sale such a success. Mahalo nui loa!!
Christmas Program
The Christmas Program was a gift to parents from your children. As usual, they delighted everyone in attendance. Thank you, all, for your support and help. A special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Cutter who provided the very healthy and delicious snacks.
Mahalo!
A special mahalo to all the parents and children who contributed to my Christmas gift and the making of artistic holiday cards. The cards will be treasured for years to come. Thank you, Ms. Ching, for coordinating this surprise and putting together the book of Christmas greetings from the kids. Ms. Brianne asked me to thank you all, as well.
Happy Holidays! Enjoy some family time with your children, who are the true gifts of the season.
