Aloha, Parents, Students, and 'Ohana:
This is the last blog so I hope you enjoy it! The students have learned so much this past six weeks (twenty-eight days) and I've enjoyed watching them grow and work as a team. We've all created new friends, had fun together, but now it's time to go our separate ways. I'm going to miss your children and I wish them the very best in the coming future of their education. Thank-you so much for your support this summer.
The students were engaged this last week with community team-building activities, board games, problem solving, and geometry.
Check out the pictures below to see some of the activities we enjoyed.
Aloha,
Shawn Williamson
For teambuilding, we went outside and did some relay races with the tricycle and pogo balls. The students really enjoyed this!
We've been playing board games such as: Checkers, Chess, Connect Four, and Sorry.
These students are practicing their problem solving skills. We reviewed the steps for solving word problems and then they worked in groups to solve different ones.
For Geometry, we practiced making different shapes, lines, and angles with the geoboards, protractors, and free-build time.
Thanks again for your support and have a great rest of the summer.
Take Care and Aloha,
Mr. Shawn Williamson
