LEARNING THE LAST WEEK IN SEPTEMBER...

The class is really enjoying our new book, The Tale of Desperaux. A few students have opted to read along with their own book, it's that good!

In math we have been subtracting from 100 using paper clips and reading miles and tenths of a mile by keeping a running log for a week. These logs will also help us get ready for our Niketown Fun Run on Sunday, October 1st. See you there!

In Writers' Workshop, a couple of our favorite stories published this week were The Adventures of Mushroom Boy, by LT, and Why I Love Golf, by HF.

We will begin reviewing nouns and verbs while introducing adjectives. With Halloween coming up, this will be a fun and interesting way to describe candy; we'll have a blast creating Grammar Gravestones. Be sure to ask your child all about it!

Next week, Wednesday-Friday, we will be at Camp Erdman. Everyone is so excited!
