Inquiry: Insects

Last week we began our inquiry unit on insects. We learned that many creatures - - spiders, scorpions, centipedes, and millipedes - - are often thought to be insects but are not. Insects have six legs and three body parts; these creatures do not. The unit will lead us to discussions about the differences between living and not living, plants vs. animals, and life cycles.
