Reading Homework Books

At home you can help your child read by...

  • having your child point to the words he is reading and help him read the words correctly.
  • rereading homework books. Your child will become comfortable reading familiar words and reading with expression.  Cover up the pictures while reading the book again.
  • talking about what happened in the story.  Ask about characters, places, and events that took place.
