Another quick week, with the highlight being Ms. Leigh's birthday pizza-making. Yum!

On Monday, we talked about the earthquake and what we would do in case of an earthquake at school. Coincidentally, we had a schoolwide (Preschool-12th grade) practice lockdown on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, we started to act out the story the parents wrote at our Parent Night, had a master storyteller at a school assembly, and ended with Suzanne Sasaki reading us an Eric Carle book in Japanese!

The children explored paint, this time with plexiglass on the light table. The colors had a beautiful glow. We started a collage on top of the painting.

Ms. Jordan is teaching the children techniques with clay. We hope that the children will use clay as another "language" to express themselves.

Our Trick-or-Treat Street buildings are awesome. We've discovered hidden talents, including Valerie's and T's ability to draw! Thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time, talent, and treats. Halloween is going to be awesome. Now, if we could only figure out what our (the teachers') costumes are going to be! We'll be working on the buildings on Tuesday and Thursday, 2:30-4:30pm, and on Sunday at 9:00am. Come if you can!
