On Tuesday, we will be having a short meeting about our Halloween happenings. If you can not make it, but would like to help, let us know. We will be sending out info ASAP.
Please sign up for our Parent Night Potluck (Friday, October 13, 6-8 p.m.). We would love to see everyone there, as we will be sharing what has been happening in our classroom.
This week, our Golden Scientists painted pictures of an avocado. The paintings are posted on the back bulletin board near the loft. Can you guess which one is the real photo?

Our dinosaur group met and discussed the size of a dinosaur's mouth and how many teeth a dinosaur may have had. They compared this number with the number of teeth in their own mouths.

Rainbow theories were drawn and discussed. SK believes the rainbows are coming from trees that have rainbow leaves (you know, the ones that have a lot of red and yellow on them). Makes sense to me!

TK tried to make rainbows appear in our room using the light table and colorful manipulatives. It was a beautiful collage of colors. He's going to try again next week.

EKS's mom visited again and taught us songs in Hawaiian and Japanese. Thanks!
Looks like the aliens have landed in Room 8! BH, BM, JD, LY, and CH made drawings of what they think aliens look like and what they travel in. Ms. Laura will make sure our boys aren't left in outer space.

Our party group will be writing to President Rice to see if he has an oven in his house that they can use to bake their cake. In case you didn't know, he lives in the big house to the left of the main gate. Looks like we may have found an oven!
Dirt was accidentally spilled on our rug. Ms Leigh came to the rescue with a small vacuum that the children used to vacuum up their mess. We asked, "How does the vacuum suck the dirt up?" Some drew pictures about their ideas.

We ended the week with C.E. Ms. Lorianne asked us the question, "What are you thankful for?" The list is posted on our Friday Daily Happenings. We have so much to be thankful for!
