The Collaborative Claywork Continues

IMG_0816.JPGThe collaborative clay work continues as students grade one through five are establishing purposeful communication skills, recognizing similar or contrasting ideas, and emphasizing the building of strong structures by bonding clay pieces.

IMG_0804.JPGSome sculptures were made with contributions from the entire class, while others were created in small groups. Many students prefer the ball sculptures as a flexible and simplified way to build a variety of shapes, and are recognizing their likenesses to castles, futuristic hotels, Pokemon characters, etc.
