After learning about the color wheel and how to mix colors, the children embarked on their first photography/painting project. This project, which was inspired by Georgia O'Keefe's paintings, deals with concepts of scale, color, and composition. This project also touches on photography skills and painting basics. The first step in this project was for the children to find things in their natural enviroment to take pictures of. After this we gathered around the computer to learn how to import our pictures and print them. Next week we will draw from the picture and then mix a palette for each painting.
Ms. Hitomi's class:
This week both classes worked on their color wheels and color mixing mural. Please see the blog from last week for further explanation.
